New articles of association
The management committee has been considering the management structures for the Club and you will have read about our new subsidiary Old Loughtonians Services Limited which has been set up to manage the non playing activities of the Club. In addition we are proposing some minor revisions to the composition of the management committee including some modernisation of role descriptions (for example The Honorary Treasurer becomes The Finance Officer) and have set up separate sub committees . In order to introduce these changes we will need to update the articles of association of the Club. The draft articles are available here and are attached . The proposed changes are shown in red. Members will be asked to approve these by special resolution at the meeting.
Volunteers
We have had a good response from members for the coaching and manager roles for this season but still need to fill some key roles. This note describes the club roles assuming the new articles are adopted. The draft list of roles filled will be attached to the notice of the AGM. The Contacts page on the website reflects the anticipated position.
We are still looking for volunteers to act as:
-Finance Officer
-Social Secretary(ies)
as well as a volunteer to co-ordinate Sponsorship initiatives as Sponorship officer
and one to help look after our Computer Systems
If you are a member of the Club or associated with the club in any way and would like to volunteer and help in any way please let Phillip Wheater, our chairman know. The Club (please watch the Back to Basics video) relies on volunteers so please help if you can.
