It is with regret to inform you of the passing of Tony Goulding during the festive period. Tony was respected by players and officials but was best known for his strict umpiring and handing out cards.

Tony started umpiring in the early 80s, he umpired various international tournaments throughout his hockey career and has umpired on South, East and Essex Panel and the Premier League and continued to umpire in the Prem into his 70s.

Tony became a club umpire at Old Loughtonians due to his two Grandchildren Dylan & Danny Sandhu playing at Loughts, and his Daughter Heather working the bar for 18 years. Dylan continues Tony’s legacy still playing captaining the M3s and umpiring at Old Loughts. Tony retired as an umpire in 2022 aged 81.

The family have been told his passion for umpiring will be a legacy that will live on for a long time.
